80 minutes is how long a game of rugby lasts. The documentary explores how the Italian national rugby team came to compete in the prestigious Six Nations tournament. With behind-the-scenes footage and images of the tournament matches, the story takes a dive into the past of the national team to celebrate the history of this sport in Italy.
Director's note
25 years ago, I walked with a video camera into the locker room of the national team. Those images grew into a short film titled 80 minutes. 25 years later I returned to an ideal locker room in which generations of rugby players review the toil and sacrifices they made, to reach the levels they have achieved today. Peace.
