During decades of globalization, countless rural communities worldwide found themselves abandoned - from America‘s Midwest to Italy‘s mountain villages and places like Tatti face extinction.
In this small Italian town, elderly residents lacked the strength to reinvent their fading world and lost hope - until outsiders like filmmaker Ruedi Gerber arrived. His friendship with the last local farmers, the twin brothers Marco and Massimo, sparked a quiet revival. Together with other newcomers, they began restoring abandoned land and rebuilding a sense of purpose.
The village‘s revival finds its emotional center in Marco‘s personal crisis. He must master self-transfor- mation - honoring his roots while reimagining his future.
This film is both an intimate portrait and a universal tale of resilience. It shows how communities can be reborn when old and new join forces - preserving what matters most while daring to evolve.
