Fool or philosopher? Enzo Sicuri (1907-1988), played by Alvaro Evangelisti in this documentary film, was a homeless by choice in Parma, his city, after a normal childhood. He was called “Màt” (Mad), but he loved poetry, books, opera music and never asked for alms. Sicuri recycled cardboard boxes to pay for a soup. He was a free spirit, an independent spirit. His motto was “In life you can do without everything, apart from the air that we breathe”, taken from his mentor Dante Spaggiari, engraver of miniatures and real anarchist, played by the famous Alessandro Haber.
