Incanto is a journey of discovery. Starting from the research in the musicological and choral field of one of the protagonists of the Friulian cultural scene of the late twentieth century, Don Gilberto Pressacco, Marco D’Agostini (director) delves into the original ideas on the origins and spread of Aquileian Christianity. In his meetings with scholars, researchers and musicians, in addition to collecting important elements of Pressacco's life, the author reconnects the threads scattered and scattered by time. From one of the specificities of choral singing present in rural Friulian communities and bearer of an original ritualistic system, the author comes to discover the value of the mysterious mosaics of the Aquileian basilica that connect Aquileia with Alexandria in Egypt.
The journey is thus also the rediscovery of Friuli, a borderland that has always had a vast wealth of connections and contaminations. Digging into the history of this land means revealing the charm of this wealth.
