In 2023, at just 14 years old, they organize a small fundraiser. The group of friends wants to decorate their alley in anticipation of the upcoming league title celebration in Naples. Their “headquarters” is a small makeshift soccer field built over a subway air vent, in Vico San Mandato. Between everyday hardships and dreams of redemption, they live through the wait with enthusiasm and unity, decorating the alley and celebrating with all the energy of their age. By 2025, their lives have changed dramatically: almost all of them, at just 16 years old, are already working and facing very harsh realities. The little field is now abandoned. Some have lost their homes, others must navigate events that feel uncomfortably close to the crime pages. And yet, even in 2025, another league title celebration gives them a moment of lightness—this time marked by a deeper awareness.
