Marco Maffeis is a small publisher from Clusone (BG), he is married and father of three children. He is one of many Italians that fall seriously ill with Covid-19, when this disease was totally unknown and in Bergamo and in the surrounding area intensive care units had no available beds. A Palermo hospital offers the opportunity, the space and the treatment to some patients from North Italy whose diagnosis seems hopeless. Totally unconscious and in a serious respiratory condition Marco is taken by military plane 896 kilometres away. He will wake up after almost a month, on the island that saved his life.
