Set in the late 1960s, in a working-class neighborhood of Southern Italy during a cold and motionless winter, lives Nanù: just over twenty, limping, a dreamy poet with a broken heart who tries to stay standing amid poverty and daily humiliation. His most intimate desire has the face of Mina, a sensitive girl trapped by her mother’s ambitions and promised in marriage to Nicola Pelliccia, a threatening presence who crushes feelings under the weight of power.
