In the heart of Palermo stands a crumbling royal palace, home to artists and craftsmen, fallen nobles and students, ghosts and rats. But now this humanity is forced to leave: the building has been bought by a group of investors. One by one, the apartments are emptied of people and their memories, amid solitary resignation and attempts to resist.
