For more than thirty years, Marina Rippa has organised theatre workshops in the most troubled neighbourhoods of Naples, providing women with an opportunity for expression and liberation. Through theatre, mothers, wives and daughters overcome the restrictions imposed on them by the culture in which they live, merging body and voice to reveal their inner strength. In a dark time of her life, Marina discovers that the embrace of these women is the bond of sisterhood that transcends the confines of theatre. The film narrates a journey of emancipation and self-determination, in which the stage becomes a sacred place of redemption.
