On the evening of May 5, 1972, an Alitalia DC-8 flying from Rome to Palermo crashed into Mount Longa, near the airport. There were no survivors. The case was quickly closed, ruled as an accident. Among the passengers was Franco Indovina, a rising film director known to gossip magazines for his relationship with Princess Soraya. His daughter, Lorenza, who is the actress and director of this documentary, was just six years old at the time.
Nearly fifty years later, after a stage performance, Lorenza is approached by a group of victims' relatives who tell her that her father did not die in an accident, but in a bombing.
Her obsessive search for a better truth to believe in draws her into the investigation. However, more than the legal proceedings, she is overcome by the memories that resurface from the oblivion to which she had relegated them.
