Eve of the Irises is a documentary film dedictaed to the scientist Eva Mameli Calvino, Italy’s first botanist and environmentalist, seeks to trace throug a multisciplinary approch encompassing differnt field, film , documentary, theatre, art and music, the rich and compelling personality of Eve whom her son Italo Calvino writer and intellectual called “The good witch who loves irises”. Eva Mameli Calvino fough for environmental protection for the women’s emancipation and sough, with modern vision to inspire young people to respect nature. Her intense life saw her as a pioneer of important discoveries.
