Taranto Chiama is an investigative documentary filmed between 2016 and 2025 across Trieste and Taranto—the 'City of Two Seas,' declared a Sacrifice Zone by the UN due to pollution from the ILVA steel plant. Grounded in scientific data and told through the voices of mothers, doctors, artists, activists, entrepreneurs, and friars, it exposes the human toll of contamination and the courage of a relentless community turning grief and memory into a demand for environmental justice, health, and a viable future.
