A profoundly intimate and personal portrait that begins with a fracture and not a victory. Born of the friendship that has always bound Gariboldi and Federica and Davide Brignone, the documentary follows the career of the champion skier from the inside, from her return from the 2025 World Cup finals – a moment of happiness soon shattered by the pain of injury – through surgery and her long rehabilitation, up to her return on the snow only 74 days before the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic Games. At her side, her brother – offering both technical and loving support – and a team of doctors, physiotherapists and coaches, revealing the collective dimension hidden behind an apparently individual sport. A journey that culminates in the feat that seemed impossible – two Olympic gold medals only 318 days after a very serious injury – and in the story of a woman who remains fiercely independent to the very end.
Director's Statement
The accident that almost killed me shattered my dreams of skiing. Following Federica and Davide allowed me to close a circle. Not wearing a race bib, but behind the camera. I chose Paolo Novelli as co-director for his deep affinity with this story.
