Romano, a deluded ex professor and alcoholic, accepts an offer : to smuggle drug by car from the Netherlands to Italy. A big chance to change his life, and not just for the money.
This could also represent the opportunity to start over again with Alba, who, on the other hand thinks she's going on a romantic trip through Europe with her passionate ex-lover, now a mature and successful businessman. During the journey, though, she grows more and more doubtful and suspicious until the holiday turns into a nightmare.
