"Those with the white lips", that is "I Dimenticati", are a group of poor people who come from a small and isolated Sardinian village. Taken by Francesco Masala's novel, the movie tells the story of a group of men who unluckily find themselves in the Russian snow to fight in a war of which they know nothing about. This war is much harder than their previous struggle to survive on their island.
Even misery and hunger which they have always suffered from become a sweet memory if compared to the madness of the "white front" where they unwillingly find themselves in, during the fury of the Second World War.
The few survivors are left with nothing but the terrible burden of their memories and "experiences", a burden that represents the only hope to warn and safeguard future generations from mankind's destructive craziness.
