Tanino, a twenty year old Sicilian boy, meets Sally, a beautiful American girl spending her vacation in Sicily. Partly fascineted by the American Dream, and partly driven by his feelings for Sally, Tanino decides to go and try his luck in the U.S., where he leaves to at summer closing. He is warmly welcomed by Sally’s parents in their home in Seaport, but she doesn’t seem particulary excited to see him again. From this moment on Tanino’s life becomes a hell filled with misunderstandings which cause him more and more trouble, until poor Tanino figures out that perhaps America is not for him and he’s not for America...
