Four young men from southern Italy, dreaming of an easy way to get rich and solve their precarious and erratic lives, reach distant Germany full of hope , but the information they had been given concerning the way to rob a rich family's villa proves to be erroneous. The possibilities for remedying this failure are scarce: either going back home at their comforting but miserable place, or following the path of adventure, the thrill of the unexpected. In youthful ignorance, at sunrise toward the end of the old millenium they find themselves in the eerie and enchanting landscape of the Far North. Making enough money to keep body and soul together was the first issue. Despite some vague efforts not one of them had a trade or craft and none had ever supported himself more than a little. At first, with their typical Latin verve and light-heartedness, they manoeuver between attempted robbery and petty thieving, but soon enough understand that they are not cut out for that kind of job. A series of tragic and grotesque events will make them grow and take on the first, real responsabilities.
