This is the story of one of Italy's greatest and most talented cartoonists, Andrea Pazienza. It descrives his eleven-year career that began in 1977 in Bologna when he created Pentothal and ended with Pompeo, and Pazienza's death from a drug overdose. The film is also the story of Italy during those important years of great social change.
