Vincent works in a chemical factory. For years now, every single Monday morning has been exactly the same for him. Once home, there is no respite for Vincent who also looks after his family, wife., his father and elderly mother, a former entertainer.

Vincent lives in a small village whose main characters are old Albert, always walking up and down the streets, the postman who knows everyone’s business from reading their mail, the peeping Tom of a curate who spies on the womenfolk, the rich and frightened farmer who is always installing new and improved security alarms, and the loud-mouthed kids on bicycles.
Vincent realises that he cannot take another day of this and when his father tells him to drop everything and go off and see something of the world, Vincent follows his advice to the letter...
