After 20 years, Rosa Funzeca decides to give up street-walking to reunite with her teenage son, Fernando, who has been raised in a religious institution. Rosa decides to redeem herself socially and morally by adopting a decent life, opening a candy and flower stall, buying a house and dreaming of a respectable life for her son. This doesn't prove to be easy: economic problems arise and force her back onto the streets while her relationship with Fernando is extremely fraught, made up of moments of distrust and complicity. The powerful and close relationship between mother and son is unable to overcome Rosa's inevitable destiny.
