On 20 March 1994, Rai TV new reporter Ilaria Alpi and her cameraman Miran Hrovatin were killed in an ambush in Mogadishu.
The film traces what happened to the two through a maze of plot twists that contain all the rhythm and gripping tension of the best spy stories.
But there is one thing the viewer should keep in mind.
No part of this story was made up. Not the deaths and the traffickers, not the investigations and the enormous sums of money involved in the case. And certainly not the hellish international scenario that swallowed up two journalists whose investigative reporting brought them very close - too close - to the truth of a story they were not supposed to know.
