Sandro, a lawyer, has three sisters and a father aged seventy-five who, in spite of his age, is still very fond of women. When Sandro hires Lena, a foreign worker, as a home help, the family balance is overthrown and everyone reacts differently. While Sandro's sisters are wary and attempt to "discover" Lena's true motives, warning their brother that she may not be what she seems, Renato, their father, seems to fall under the young woman's charm and recover the youthful spirit that, deep down, he has never lost despite living in a retirement home. Sandro, more or less consciously, tries to find out who the real Lena is, ignoring the interfering, prejudices and judgements of those around him.
