“Changing Destiny” tells the story of two teenagers: Alessandro and Ferdi (between 15 and 17 years old). they live together with Toni, one of their school friends, in a downbeat ex-industrial city where they try to survive both the crumbling environment and family troubles.
Alessandro is the son of a young mother, who can’t face her painful past. Ferdi is a former factory worker’s son. Due to a sickness caused by the factory work ferdi’s dad has become an unrelenting drunk.
The two young men try to escape from their fate and from their parents’ failures, and along the way take shelter from a world that seems to be conspiring against them.
Freely adapted from Gianfranco Bettin’s novel, by the same name.
