On the hills of Liguria and France a car climbs towards the
Alps. One of the most innovative great Italian chefs, Paolo
Masieri has his garden up there, his country home, his
herbs.P aolo goes exploring with a stick through the
wilderness, picks strawberries and selects thyme.P aolo
runs along the beach, runs into the early morning fishing
boats, has a friend visit from Milan, turns on the stove and
prepares the line, supervises the assistants, coordinates
his work with Barbara his wife, together they run the
restaurant bearing the same name, in Sanremo.
He’s a magician, master of a calm magic which belongs to
the surroundings which are permeated by this sense of
tranquillity.Only this way the amber sky which lights up
the hills can explode and transform those who will savour
this in edible delights.
This is Paolo’s miracle: to nourish on life itself in order to
nourish others.
