Based on true events, it is a film about a recent event in Italy, one that shocked the nation. It begins with a split-screen image: a boy and girl are interviewed separately in an imaginary TV studio. They speak about love and sex, fear and desire, but never reveal their true intentions. Only in the final moments do the two unite. Looking at each other in silence, they decide that the moment has arrived to do what neither has mentioned.
