The suicides of four young people upset life in a village in Basilicata. A fifth young man decides to make a video diary about the death of his companions. He begins to trace their lives back in time in search of a motivation for those absurd deaths. The departure point is a mysterious drawing made by one of them, showing a few leafless trees in a bleak landscape. The reconstruction of the tragic deaths leads the young man to the point of wandering through the village by night, spooked by the silence and the atmosphere of the place.
