Grandpa Vito, a gruff, stubborn, solitary man who is almost completely blind, has recently lost all trace of Giotto, his loyal companion. When his daughter Paola, accompanied by her husband Carlo and their young daughter Giulia, visits his countryside home to help search for Giotto, the family becomes entangled in an unlikely and unexpected event—one capable of breaking the silence and solitude that had long filled that house.
