In the microcosm of a rural family, Robertino, a 11-year-old boy, doesn’t know the concept of death. After a tragic event, he begins to question everything his parents have always taught him.
DIRECTOR'S NOTES:
The short film narrates, over the course of a few days, the daily life of Robertino who encounters something his parents have always hidden from him. It narrates a microcosm in which a secret is deliberately concealed, bringing to light corners deliberately left in the dark because of the social taboo that prohibits talking about certain topics. The color palette plays at first with ochre, beige, and brown, but at the same time as the tense and discomforting increase, it will slowly morph into cool tones such as blue, indigo, and green, reinforcing the negative vibrations of the story. There are aspect ratio transitions, which will go hand in hand with the protagonist's raise of awareness. There will be a shift from the initial 4:3 aspect ratio, then to 14:9 and up to the final 16:9, once the world in which his parents had enclosed him has finally opened.
