The film explores the life and work of Piero Manzoni through a cinematic language that blends historical rigor, fiction, and the freedom of imagination. Between memory and representation, the story brings to life some of the artist’s most radical and iconic gestures: the celebrated egg performance at Azimuth, the signing of human bodies in Copenhagen, Artist’s Shit, and the enigmatic Linee.
Rather than retracing Manzoni’s life as a conventional biopic, the film enters the space between fact and memory, where the boundaries between the artist, his work, and the world he inhabited become increasingly fluid.
The journey culminates on the final night of his life. Back in Milan, the city where everything began, Manzoni moves toward an uncertain tomorrow—until, suddenly, the future is cut short. As the night unfolds, the film becomes a final encounter with an artist who, in little more than two years, radically transformed the relationship between art, the body, and everyday life.
