There is a time that flows, measurable, precise, indifferent.
And then there is a time that expands, dilates, and loses itself in invisible details.
“How Long Is a Minute?” is a visual meditation on slowness, an invitation to suspend urgency and inhabit time rather than chase after it. Through minimal, almost imperceptible images, the film shifts the gaze from event to process, from action to waiting.
A snail moving imperceptibly forward becomes an alternative measure of time: no longer segmented, but continuous; no longer productive, but present. The minute ceases to be a unit and becomes an experience.
The film moves within a contemplative dimension where the viewer is called upon not to understand, but to slow down. Almost nothing happens, and it is precisely in this "almost" that a space opens up—a space for listening, for attention, and for resistance against the accelerated pace of the contemporary world.
“How Long Is a Minute?” offers no answer.
It proposes a threshold.
It is up to the viewer to decide whether to cross it.
