A young girl, the daughter of an Iraqi terrorist, adjusting to life in Italy. Rahil lives a fragile existence, having been entrusted to a couple who doesn't love her ( the mother is played by Lorenza Indovina, she is rather vulgar and only interested in how much money she can make off the little girl )and unable to make friends with the local children who reject her for being ' non-European'. Until her adoptive parents are killed and she runs away, facing life with the faith signified by her own Iraqi name : "She who always goes forward, no matter what".
