The landscapes of Morocco’s desert and kasbahs become the palpitating backdrop for the adventures of a lonely seventeen-year-old, Valerio, when he suddenly decides to escape with his three teenage friends for a holiday to North Africa.
Little does Valerio’s divorced father know that when he rushes in pursuit of his son on the road to Marrakech, a crescendo of love, mystery, and discovery awaits them all. As they are drawn more and more deeply and inextricably into the labyrinth of impossible events in a totally new and magical universe, each of the young people lives an important turning point.
The journey becomes a rite of initiation, however, not only for Valerio and his friends, but also for Sergio, the father. For, in shedding old ways and embracing the new, there is no place nor age for the discovery of tenderness, first kisses and falling in love.
