Adil e Yusuf are twenty year-old twin brothers. They are Somalis and live in Rome. Each morning they catch a train on the way to look for work, however Adil has no intention of becoming a “slave” while Yusuf is convinced that they will only be able to integrate with the society in which they live if they find work. They have an argument on the train, then each goes his own way. Adil spends his day with a friend and a girl saves him from an unexpected event. Yusuf goes to his job at the meat market and finds himself face to face with a decision that will condition his life.
