The distant cry of a little girl sends Alfio, a middle-aged farmer, and his twenty-year old son Tommy rushing into the garden. Barely visible among the golden leaves of corn, they find Tommy’s pretty little sister Giulia shaking with fear. The child is convinced she has seen a tall monster covered in a white sheet, but her father believes she is just imagining it and that she has simply seen the wild dogs that have been terrorising their own dog, Charlie. That night Alfio is woken by Giulia, who has been frightened by the appearance of the same disturbing creature, this time on the TV screen.
