Freely drawn by the homonym book of Seimur Hersh, winning of the Prize Pulitzer, the film tells a history really happened during the War of the Vietnam: the massacre of May Lai.
A group of American soldiers slaughtered without any pity oldmen, women and children, upsetting the life until then idyllic of the village.
The intervention of 3 American soldiers however it prevented the to perpetuate him of those atrocities, having had the best from the clash with the themselves companions, they succeeded in bringing in safe the life of 12 people.
Close to the hard images of the war we would be accompanied from the stories of a Vietnamese family, and a woman that it will hock all of her courage to save her child and her people from a brutal death.
