Antonia’s life pivots on complacency. She accepted her mother’s invading presence, despite the fact that she also found a younger man. She puts up with her ex-husband’s problems. She manages to cope with Caterina, a pupil in one of her ‘depressed housewives’ classes. She can find self-confidence only at work, at the psychiatric day hospital service. Caught between her mother’s wedding and her ex-husband’s, as well as Caterina’s intemperance, Antonia finally finds out that there in her life may be room for her dreams, too.
