Beijing Double Happiness (Short)
by Sergio Ponzio, Cristina Nisticò
Beijing Double Happiness allows us to experience an audio-visual travel dialogue. A double-faced Janus, filmed in Super-8 and digital video.
Double Happiness, shuangxi, is a ligature of two Chinese characters (xi, 'joy') associated with weddings and mutual love. And the film itself was shot by two lovers over 10 days in Beijing. ranElettriKe is a Rome-based collective, mining the edge between experimental film and visual art.
