A man and a woman meet through a telephone support helpline, where she works as a volunteer and he, as a solitary artist, simply seeks out someone who will listen and lend a consoling ear. Two solitudes reaching out and almost touching, in an evocative, melancholic lake setting that draws them towards one another, even as it separates them.
