1943. A young Austrian jew, exiled with his family, wins the sympathy of the small communities where he is forced to live, infecting everyone with a passion for jazz music, banned by the regime. His talent breaks down every fence, and enables him to forge a great friendship with the mayor's two children, and to join the music band of the town. After 8 September and the subsequent German occupation, Oscar is forced to flee. With the help of the whole community he will come into contact with a partisan organization that will help he and his family to reach the Swiss border, and the salvation. Inspired by the story of the great Austrian trumpeter Oscar Klein.
