Between 1950 and 1970 the cameras staked out on the landing strip between the exit and the ramp captured the Italian celebrities and American film stars of what was known as “Hollywood-on-the-Tiber”. It was the Jet Set, filmed by news by newsreels with biting irony. Glamour and cynism were in the wake of the Dolce Vita by Fellini.
