The film looks at the 57 days that elapsed between the deaths of anti-Mafia judges Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino in contemporary Palermo in 1992. Franco and Michele are photojournalists. Salvo Cuntastorie tells the story of the rich and poor, the masters and the slaves. That summer, Marta was one of the key figures of the “Lenzuoli” anti-Mafia movement. Today’s youths live on the margins. Maurizio, Fabio, Giuseppe, Peppe, Nino, are ordinary citizens who retrace that summer of blood and revolt. An amateur filmmaker, Fabio’s archive images accompany the film, capturing the spontaneous demonstrations of Palermo’s citizens.
