Set in an urban periphery, the film tells the stories of ordinary people, social exclusion and loneliness: like Peter's, laborer for thirty years at Fiat, which addresses alone, after his wife's death, the most difficult challenge with the disease. Or the story of Ibrahim, a Moroccan who has lived and worked in Italy for years, waiting to return sooner or later in his country. And still Rachel's portrait, perpetually divided between the work that is necessary to live and the desire to continue her university studies she was forced to stop, or that of Eve, a young painter who is suitable to work in factories or finally, the path of no return Mariano and Luca, without work, without parents, without any certainty, nothing, coming to predictable terminus of this lack of reference points. Stories of loneliness that overlap and intertwine, where the characters are both victims and perpetrators of a society that has lost every root and value.
