On a beautiful summer morning, two truffle searchers, instead of the precious tubers, find the corpse of a young woman at the excavations of Santa Cristina, an important archaeological site located in the countryside between Buonconvento and Montalcino. The victim's name is Laura Landi and was an archaeologist who worked in that place. Why was she killed? And most importantly, by whom? Not used to dramatic acts of violence, the people from Buonconvento are in turmoil and in their souls mingle anxiety and curiosity.
