Thomas works with a group of climbers in a high mountain yard to secure the impervious side of a mountain. An unexpected problem causes the closure of the yard occurs and the workers are dismissed without prior notice. Thomas has to face new and sudden economic difficulties.
Comes to the rescue a former colleague who now runs a small business: there is a job for Thomas in a small town in Abruzzo. Here he meets a woman, a combative teacher, and a young geologist, who joined him in the work.
