“I’ve tried here to bind together the fragments of my life spent in the past winter and spring…” (Cesare Pavese in The Burning Brand).
The title was to have been Frammenti di un anno: an almost daily diary begun in winter 2009, continued to the following spring and left incomplete because too much “alive”. Then time interfered with these “dailies”: moving house, kids growing up, photographs coming out of “painful” boxes… And so there came to life Attesa di un’estate: a first part of Frammenti di vita trascorsa.
