The “equipped village” in Via di Salone – Rome – is the biggest Roma camp in Europe. 1200 people from different nationalities – Romani, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia - are living inside. The camp is outside the town not connected by public transport and without any common space. The distance among the container-houses is about two meters. The children go every morning to the school with a bus service provided by the town council – but because of distance and traffic jams it could take them up to two hours to reach their school. The documentary follows the daily life in the camp: children going to school in the morning; the teenagers without anything to do the whole day (many of them don’t have any paper. They were born in Italy but they don’t have Italian nationality. Nor have they their parents’ one, following the implosion of Former Yugoslavia), men and women who try to find a way with small jobs under the table.
