The “Murgia” is a National Park in the center of Apulia, one of the most beautiful and damned park of the mediterranean area. An extraordinary road-movie that presents with irony the origin and actuality of an abandoned part of Italy, through the interaction between an impecable feminine voice (Anna Rispoli) and a moody masculine presence (Pino Malerba).

DIRECTOR’S NOTES:
“Through an attentive look to the relation between culture and cultivations, geomorphology and antopology, but in a pop esthetic, the documentary speaks about the beauty of stones, of the preciousness of water, of the thorns that characterize the Murgia; animals that adapted themselves to the environment that man made hostile.
The Murgia is a unique territory of its kind. The deforestation along the years led to a bare landscape that we wrongly think as poor and think about reforesting or using it in a thousand ways. On the contrary the Murgia lives of its small and resistant plants, pioneers of existence, the so-called Mediterranean steppe; a world of small beings resistant to death.”
