Half-Hong Kong melodrama, halfspaghetti western, Ore 12 tells the story of Sara and Davide, who grow up inseparable, their future seemingly holding no surprises, until a shootout between their fathers leaves both dead, and the two families declare war. Their two buildings face each other like rival strongholds, with look-outs and armed watchmen. Hide-and-seek is a game no longer: their survival depends on it.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT:
I owe the stylistic concept
behind Ore 12 to my love for a popular film genre:
the Hong Kong action melo. I always wanted to
try my hand at this kind of film narrative, but in
this case I also threw in a few spaghetti western
touches.
