Ohran is a Turkish novelist who left his country following a personal tragedy which made him lose his inspiration. Twenty years later, at his publisher’s request, he heads back to Istanbul to help Deniz, a successful international film director, put the finishing touches to his autobiography. But after a few days, Deniz mysteriously disappears. Ohran joins the search to track him down, along with Deniz’s family and friends, whom he has already got to know a little through his work on the book. His investigations lead him to discover a hidden side of the both the missing director and this fabled city. He also rediscovers buried emotions which finally rekindle his appetite for both love and writing.
