On May 23, 1987, Vincenzo, a 14-year-old boy from Crosia in Calabria, saw the statue of the Virgin Mary cry in an abandoned church. Nobody seemed to believe him, until a few days later the entire town witnessed the first apparition of the Virgin Mary. From that moment on, his life was never the same. In a crescendo of plot twists, behind the personal story lies the thirty-year history of a town full of contradictions.
